Abuja - The Police Service Commission has dismissed one of
their Assistant Superintendent of Police and demoted other police officials
allegedly to misconduct, Punch reported.
The PSC spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, has stated that the
decisions for such were discussed in a meeting held in Abuja which was presided
over by Chairman, Mike Okro.

The commission has rejected 23 appeals from dismissed
policemen for reinstatement and restorations of ranks.
There have been approvals of 10 other police officers,
pardoned three and committed the dismissal of three others to retirement.
These decisions have been communicated to the
Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, for implementation.
