Abuja - Some 150 youths in Kwara State have benefitted from a training programme the lawmaker representing Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Razak Atunwa, has initiated.

According to the legislator’s spokesperson, Olawale Rotimi, the programme is the result of a pledge by Atunwa to empower youth in the region.

“Rt. Hon. Atunwa has put this training together to keep the youths engaged, reduce unemployment, empower the teeming population of youth in the Constituency and enhance the capacity of unemployed graduates across the Constituency."

The three-day training exposed the youths to skills of their choices and knowledge of starting a business and getting funds to finance their businesses.

“This is the first phase, more of such in different ways will be packaged by the Rt Honourable for the constituents,” Rotimi said.
