Abuja - Troops of 33 Brigade Nigerian Army have
arrested a man suspected of supplying kidnappers in Bauchi State with illegal
drugs and liquor.
Named as Jibrin Dakam, he has been arrested in Toro Toro
Local Government Area (LGA).
Director Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman,
said preliminary investigations confirmed the suspect escaped from a den at
Jenge following the military operation in Forest Kunama at Lame-Burra Forest
“It was further confirmed that he frequently supply alcohol
and other stimulants to the kidnappers,” said Usman.
Meanwhile, troops have deployed at Forward Operation Base
(FOB) have arrested two suspected kidnappers at Badiko village along Gumau road

They have been named as Dayibu Abdullahi and Nasiru Adamu.
The Army spokesman added the troops also recovered a bag
containing the sum of N439 000 and some personal items from the suspects.
He said preliminary investigation showed the amount was
their share from a paid ransom of a recent kidnap incident.
Troops at a checkpoint near Durum, in Bauchi Local
Government Area also arrested a suspected armed bandit named Adamu Saleh.
All the suspects are being interrogated further before their
eventual handing over to other relevant security agencies,” said Usman.
