Abuja - Bayelsa State Senator Ben Murray Bruce has slammed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for their decision to stop customers from using their bank cards abroad, Naij has reported.
Bruce's utterances follow an order passed by the CBN preventing Nigerians from using their credit, debit and ATM cards for transactions that are denominated in currencies other than the naira, either locally or abroad.
In his reaction, Bruce referred ton reports of some Nigerian nationals opening bank accounts in neighboring countries in order to by=pass the inconvenience caused by the CBN.
The senator took to his Facebook page to air his grievances, also asking the CBN what they think the impact of their decision would be on the economy.
