12 November 2016, 08:57

Lagos - The recent increase in the killing and disappearance of Nigerian soldiers by Boko Haram has been linked to the ransom paid to Boko Haram in exchange for the release of some Chibok girls, senior military sources have revealed, reports Punch

Some highly ranked military men told Punch that despite denials by the Federal Government, money was paid to the sect to secure the release of the abducted girls.

It was learnt that the insurgents demanded for $50million for the release of the girls but about $12.5million was paid.
