Boko Haram kills 6 in fresh Borno attack

Maiduguri - At least six people have been killed and several others injured during a raid by Boko Haram insurgents on Gamgara, a farming community in Abadan area of Borno State, reports NewsDay.

The incident happened on Tuesday night around 8.30pm.

The insurgents arrived the village and conducted a house to house search.

They later took six men to the village square and slaughtered them.

They equally opened fire on people running away, injuring many in the process.

Before leaving the village, the insurgents took away food items and livestock in the vehicles they came with.

The attack is coming less than 24 hours after Boko Haram members killed seven persons including a soldier, in both Bam and Gajigana villages of Biu and Magumeri Local Government Areas of Borno State.
