Abuja - Operation Lafiya Dole Theatre Commander, Leo Irabor, has ordered Boko Haram terrorists (BHT) to surrender as defeat was imminent.
The warning comes after the army announced one of its major breakthroughs against the group wrecking terror in the northeast of the country.
It was reported over 5 000 civilians had been rescued from Boko Haram bondage.
Scores of terrorists were killed, buoying the army.

“Let me once again use this medium to remind the remnants of BHT that their miserable days are numbered,” said Irabor.
“Their future is going to be disastrous if they fail to surrender and lay down their arms,” he further warned.
He warned of unspecified consequences.
“Let me therefore, encourage them (terrorists) to take advantage of this window of opportunity now to surrender as failure to do so would be hugely regretted,” Irabor reiterated.
The Boko Haram has killed over 20 000 civilians and displaced over 3 million, mostly who are facing hunger.
