Abuja - Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu was refused access to the floor of the House of Representatives by some lawmakers under the platform of the People Democratic Party (PDP).
The minister was summoned by the House of Representatives over the new premium motor spirit price regime hiked from N86.5 to N145.
The lawmakers were said to have waved the national flags and sung protest songs while denying the minister entrance to the floor.

The minister was supposed to address lawmakers at the session to be presided over by the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, at noon
Dogara had on Friday last week, hinted that members would debate the fuel price increase this week and take a position on the new price regime.
