Lagos - A petrol tanker, laden with the product has caught fire at the Lagos axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway killing two people.
The incident happened early Wednesday morning when the tanker failed break and hit a truck, and as a result immediately exploded in flames according to an eye witness.
The number of casualty could however swell as four other cars were affected by the fire incidence.

News24 can report that the accident has caught traffic gridlock on the road as motorists are advised to use alternative route.
The Lagos State Fire Service, Federal Road Safety Corp and other authorities have reported to the scene and are battling to quench the furnace.
