Nairobi - President Muhammadu has said that Nigeria will "diligently ensure full rehabilitation of Boko Haram victims and find lasting solutions to combat threats of terrorism".
According to Punch, Buhari said this on Saturday in Nairobi Kenya where he is attending the 6th Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
The president reinstated that Boko Haram militants had been degraded.
"I took over the mantle of leadership in Nigeria when the North eastern part of the country was being ravaged by Boko Haram.
"However, soon after assumption of office, our administration with the support of our immediate neighbours – Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin- and international partners including Japan, faced the challenge frontally, " Buhari was quoted as saying.
Buhari assured the world that his government would ensure full rehabilitation and resettlement of the victims of the Boko Haram insurgents in the north east who are currently scattered in different camps as Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, Vanguard reported.
