Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the Nigerian military are not being able to defeat Boko Haram due to corruption, Punch reported.
According to Buhari, Boko Haram only started being curbed when his administration came into power, during a talk at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The reputation of the Nigerian army has been greatly tarnished due to the terrorism sect, of which it is disappointing that 14 local government areas had to be affected due to Boko Haram.

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed had also stated that activities of the Islamist group, Boko Haram is being sponsored by corrupt Nigerians.
Better weapons are being distributed throughout the military in order to curb corruption and to end the sect.
