Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday met behind closed-doors with the leaders of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, briefed State House, Abuja.
According to him, the meeting was held to promote peace and harmony in the oil sector.

He said the President assured the unions that the ongoing restructuring in the oil sector would not lead to job losses.
The National President of NUPENG, Igwe Achese said that the unions were satisfied with deliberations at the meeting.
