Buhari: Nigeria is all we have

29 June 2016, 07:30

Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians to unite and work towards the common goal of helping the country prosper as we do not have another place to call home, Vanguard reports.

Buhari urged Nigerians to realise that they do not have another country except Nigeria and that they should work and pray for it to prosper.

The President was speaking yesterday while breaking his Ramadan fast with a delegation of Islamic clerics.

Buhari called on all leaders to lead with integrity as they had a duty to make the country habitable for all Nigerians of all walks of life.

News24 Nigeria reported that Buhari previously while reflecting on his term as president made the startling statement that governing the country is no joke and that it was in need of prayers.

"Leading the people is not a joke. It means accepting responsibilities for good or wrong," said Buhari.
