Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has allegedly fired Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) comptroller-general Martin Abeshi.
According to a Naij report, staff at the NIS were seen rejoicing at the delivery of the news, with some officers claiming that Abeshi was involved in corrupt activities during his tenure.

In a petition directed at President Buhari, some officers stated that Abeshi collected money from personnel eager to embark on foreign missions.
The allegations are what is believed to have led to the sacking, although no official reason has been stated thus far, Vanguard reports.
