Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned an emergency meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Monday, reports NewsDay.
The meeting was called to approve the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) in preparation for the 2016 Budget.
This will make it the second meeting of the FEC since its inaugural session over three weeks ago on November 13.

Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma, confirmed to State House correspondents on Saturday that his ministry would be seeking FEC’s approval for the MTEF this week.
Udoma spoke with journalists shortly after Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo visited the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa where National Planning Ministry officials were working on the 2016 Budget.
The minister explained that government was working hard to ensure the budget was ready before the end of the year.
