Buhari to crush anyone standing against anti-corruption fight

05 July 2016, 06:32

Abuja - President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to crush anyone standing in the way of his fight against corruption in Nigeria, saying that those found guilty would soon be dealt with, Vanguard reports.

This comes as insinuations of artificial hindrances made to slow down the anti-corruption war of the Buhari administration, with the President warning that any individuals behind this would soon meet their fate.

Buhari said that he was as committed as ever in the anti-corruption fight and that no social campaign against him would deter him from this.

News24 Nigeria reported that outspoken Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose recently lashed out at President Muhammadu Buhari over his alleged harassment of officials from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) through persecution issued by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki has also accused Buhari of running a "government within a government".
