The officials are said to have embarrassed the Presidency by smuggling into the budget proposals such items as vote for Aso Rock Clinic and some communication equipment.

The list of all the members of the mafia was being compiled following a directive by President Buhari.

It was gathered that on  learning that the Presidency was considering a huge budget of possibly N8trn in order to significantly increase capital expenditure, the budget mafia brought a proposal of N9.7trn for overhead and capital spending without including personnel spending.
