Burglar gets caught with head between bars - Literally!

12 February 2016, 07:40

Abuja - A burglar's operation was bungled yesterday after he accidentally got his head stuck between burglar-proof bars following his looting of a Jos shop, Punch has reported.

The suspect, identified as Solomon Clement, had entered the premises through the roof and proceeded to steal seven suits, two blankets, thirteen pairs of shoes and three sheets before his ill-fated meeting with the metal bars.

While the criminal managed to force his body through the window, he's head seemed to be bigger than he anticipated, as he ended up trapped, head first, between the window's burglarproof bars.

Clement struggled in vain to free himself, having to wait until daybreak, where police officials employed the skills of a welder to free the man before proceeding to arrest him on the spot.

Abuh Emmanuel, PR Officer for the Plateau State Police, confirmed that investigations into the matter are ongoing.
