Abuja – The Military said while normalcy had been retained in Bosso Local Government Area where some gun runners and armed bandits killed 11 members of the Defence Forces, operations were ongoing to track the perpetrators.
“Although the situation is under control, the military will not rest on its oars until all those involved are arrested and brought to justice,”
said Army spokesperson, Kukasheka Usman.

The military is counting its losses after some gun runners and bandits killed the officers. In the area in Niger State.
An officer and eight soldiers of the Nigerian Army and two airmen of the Nigeria Air Force lost their lives in the line of duty.
Additionally, one soldier was missing while two colleagues were seriously wounded.
The troops managed to kill eight suspects and arrested 57 others.
They also recovered arms and ammunition.
Usman, said activities of gun runners and armed bandits had a direct bearing with the influx of weapons and insecurity in parts of the Federal Capital Territory and the North West geo-political zone of the country.
The gun runners have been confirmed to be suppliers of arms to armed robbery gangs that were involved in series of armed robbery attacks along the prone Minna-Bida road and the general environment.
