Abuja - The Nigerian Army has warned those speculating a coup by the uniformed forces against the Government to desist forthwith.
The warning was disclosed in a statement signed by Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman.

The army spokesperson described the coup speculation as “baseless and most unfortunate allegation that existed in the warped minds of the originators of such weighty allegation.”
He said the Army saw the speculation as a “dangerous distraction” to its efforts in fighting insurgency and other criminal elements in the country.
