Abuja - A Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday adjourned till May 17, the trial of the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh.

Justice Okon Abang adjourned the trial on the grounds of Metuh’s ill health.

Metuh who was reported to have fallen from a swivel chair and immediately rushed to the National Hospital, Abuja on Tuesday, appeared in court on Wednesday, dressed in dark blue kaftan.

He limped slightly as he walked out of the courtroom shortly after the case was adjourned.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is prosecuting the PDP’s spokesperson and his company, Destra Investment Limited on seven counts, including money laundering involving $2m cash transaction.

They are also being prosecuted for allegedly fraudulently receiving N400m from the Office of the National Security Adviser in November 2014 and used the money for the presidential campaign of the PDP.
