Owerri - The Federal High Court in Owerri, Imo State on Friday affirmed the election of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, reports Eagle Online.
Former governorship aspirant, Friday Nwosu dragged Gov Ikpeazu to court over alleged forged tax certificates.
The trial judge, Justice A.I Allagoa in his judgement ruled that Nwosu was unable to prove that the tax documents were forged.
The judge ruled that the tax documents where not forged
He therefore dismissed the matter.
The coast is, however, still not cleared for the governor.

A similar court in Abuja had on June 27 sacked him from office over his tax papers.
The governor's appeal against the judgement is still pending.
