Court orders account freeze on #DasukiGate suspects

24 December 2015, 12:41

Abuja - A Federal High Court has ordered a freeze on the bank accounts of all suspects involved in the alleged Office of National Security Adviser (ONSA) scandal, Naij reports.

Following the release of perfected bail conditions for former Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki and his co-accused, a Federal High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) banned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from re-arresting Dasuki as well as his co-accused.

The bank accounts of those involved in the scandal have since been ordered to Post No Bill (PNB), with the order being limited to accounts where slush funds were deposited.

The affected suspects have since confirmed the restrictions placed on their accounts with others having complained that they cannot access any of their personal funds.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a House of Representative member revealed that the account that his salary got paid into was frozen. He disclosed that he did not benefit from any campaign funds and that his reputation is being affected as a result of the scandal.
