Abuja - A Federal High Court in Abuja has struck out the application of the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, asking the trial judge, Okon Abang, to discontinue with the matter over perceived bias.
Metuh is facing a seven-count charge of fraud.
The court had on March 24 adjourned the matter to April 8 for ruling on three applications.
Abang had on that day stated that the court would determine whether he (Abang) should continue as the trial judge.
He also said the court would entertain the second petition, seeking the case to be set aside pending the determination of a related petition at the Court of Appeal and the third application regarding an adjournment sought by Metuh’s lead counsel, Onyeachi Ikpeazu.
Metuh, had last month asked the judge handling his case to transfer his files to another judge.
