Kaduna - A close friend of President Muhammadu Buhari and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Brig.Gen. Jafaru Isa (retd.), has returned N170m to the Federal Government, reports Punch.
Isa, who is a former military governor of Kaduna State, received the money from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.).
Dasuki gave the money to Isa in order to purchase a house in Kano for the former NSA.
News 24 recalls that Isa then transferred the money to Ali Tukur, the owner of the house.
He was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in January but was later released after returning N100m to the commission with a promise to pay the balance of N70m.

With the return of the money, it remained unclear if the EFCC will still prosecute Isa, who is believed to have health challenges.
