Dasukigate: Church members boo Falae

19 January 2016, 14:34

Ondo  - Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Olu Falae was booed by the congregation of David’s Cathedral, Ijomu street, Akure while explaining his involvement in the controversial $2.1 billion arms scandal, Information Nigeria reports.

The former presidential candidate of the All Peoples Party denied his involvement in the diversion and looting of security funds traced to ex-National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd).

Falae explained that N100 million, which the former Board of Trustees (BOT) of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Tony Anenih, purportedly paid to him was in no way connected to the NSA funds.

He said the money was to assist in campaigning and mobilising support for the re-election of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential elections.

The former Finance Minister warned that he would not hesitate to take legal action against anyone who attempts to create a wrong impression on him over the $2.1 billion arms scandal.
