#Dasukigate: Court reduces Metuh’s bail conditions

Abuja - A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has reduced the bail conditions it earlier granted the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, reports NewsDay.

Justice Abang Okon had on January 19 granted Metuh bail on a N400 million bond and N200 million each from two sureties.

Following this judgement, Metuh’s counsel team filed an application for variation of bail.

Ruling on the application of variation of bail on Wednesday, Abang held that the sureties can now be owners of properties in other parts of Abuja apart from Maitama.

He urged Metuh to appeal if he was not satisfied with the conditions.

Metuh, who is being tried for allegedly collecting N400 million arms money has been in detention since his arrest over three weeks ago.
