Abuja - The family of arrested People's Democratic Party (PDP) spokesman, Olisa Metuh has revealed that he has refused to eat in detention over fear of being poisoned, Premium Times reports.
Metuh was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday, in connection with the $2.1bn arms deal, and remained in detention by Wednesday evening.
The family has denied that the spokesperson of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received N1.4 billion from the office of the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd).

In a statement, by Chief Gilbert Metuh for the Obi-Ezeani- Nnewi family, it said that the charges for which the PDP’s spokesperson was arrested had not be known to him, the family and the public.
The family demanded that the EFCC immediately release Metuh from detention or charge him to court.
