Lagos - Dozens of people were burnt to death on Christmas eve in an explosion at an industrial gas plant in Nnewi, Anambra state, South East Nigeria.
The explosion killed almost 100 people inside the factory of Inter Corp Oil Limited (LPG Gas Plant), a subsidiary of Chikason Group. Though the figure of casualty is yet to be officially confirmed at the time of this report.

Customers who were at the plant to buy gas in their cylinders were burnt to death as well as some people at the neighbourhood.
The charred bodies of the victims and other severely burnt persons were taken to Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH in Nnewi.
