Drunk man violently stabs sleeping uncle to death

Lagos - A drunken man, Monday Eze has stabbed his 55-year-old uncle, Ebere Akpu, to death on his return home from a pub after the two were involved in an argument earlier in the evening, Punch reports.

The suspect returned home from the pub inebriated and continued to stab his uncle as he lay asleep in different parts of his body, with his corpse found by police later in the evening.

According to witnesses, Eze displayed a tendency towards violence when drunk and was often involved in confrontations. A witness claimed that Eze started trouble with everybody and had a habit of stripping naked and misbehaving.

The suspect later handed himself over to police officials with it being confirmed that the case had been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation.
