Enugu - The Department of State Security (DSS) on Thursday arrested a former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Umeh was arrested following a petition by political leaders from Anambra state on the allegations that he is sponsoring the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).

He was arrested at his Enugu residence and taken to Abuja by road.
Umeh is APGA's candidate for the postponed Anambra Central Senatorial District re-run election.
Umeh’s media aide, Stan Okeke has confirmed the arrest of his boss.
