Dutse - The Emir of Dutse in Jigawa,
Alhaji Nuhu Sunusi, on Friday, installed four new emirate council members as
part of activities to commemorate his 20th anniversary of ascending the throne.
Sunusi said that the new council members were appointed
based on merit and their contributions toward the development of the emirate.
The emir advised the new council members to bring their
experiences while in the civil service to bear with the new task given to them.
The new council members are; Alhaji Ayuba Tanko as Falakin
Dutse and Umar Musa Zandam as Sarking Fulanin Dutse, who served as secretaries
to the state government at various times.

The two others are Alhaji Munnir Mustafa, former Grand Khadi
of the state as Ma’ajin Dutse and Alhaji Datti Ahmad, a serving Permanent
Secretary, Jigawa Ministry of Works as Wakilin Raya Kasar Dutse.
The monarch admonished them to work toward promoting peace
and harmonious co-existence in their respective communities.
He also advised them to fear Allah and discharge their
duties diligently in accordance with Islamic teachings.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Sunusi became
the 19th Emir of Dutse after the death of his father in 1995.
