Abuja - The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has strongly denied reports that an FCT High Court accused the EFCC of illegally detaining Robert Azibaola, cousin of former president, Goodluck Jonathan, Punch reports.
Azibaola was recently arrested for allegedly receiving $40 million for a dubious pipeline contract.

The EFCC said that newspaper reports twisted the story to paint it in a bad light.
However the actual story is that a judge merely frowned on the EFCC's inability to produce the suspect in line with an earlier order of the court.
The EFCC also condemned the inaccurate reporting by the media, saying that it would hinder the anti-graft's campaign against corruption.
