Abuja - The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has set its sights on the Senate Committee on Appropriations.
According to a Naij report, the anti-graft agency has begun an investigation into the alleged padding of the 2016 national budget in line with allegations detailed in a petition signed by Honourable Jibrin Abdulmumin, ex-House of Representatives Chairman of the Committee on Appropriations.

Jibrin has earlier accused Dogara and other officers of the House of padding the budget between him and leadership of the house, Vanguard reports.
The sacked chairman had submitted his petition against Dogara on August 1, with the All Progressives Congress (APC) having requested that Jibrin stop issuing public statements regarding the padding of the budget.
