EFCC probes Oshiomhole over alleged inflation of contracts

15 November 2016, 11:02

Abuja - Less than three days after leaving office as Governor of Edo State, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is on the trail of Adams Oshiomhole over allegations of fraud levelled against him.

The former governor is being accused of inflating contracts and diverting billions of naira while in office.

The investigation of Oshiomhole according to Leadership is predicated on the petition written by Dr. Osadolor Ochei and Comrade Kola Edokpayi, and received by the anti-graft agency on November 4.

In the petition, Oshiomhole was accused of using N10b to build mansion which was designed and constructed by Verissimo – a South African architect in Iyamho, Edo State.
