EFCC seizes Fayose's houses worth millions of naira in Abuja, Lagos

17 July 2016, 07:05

Abuja – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly seized houses worth millions of naira belonging to Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose.

According to Punch, the properties were located in affluent areas of Lagos and Abuja.

The houses were seized as part of the ongoing investigation into the N1.219 that Fayose allegedly received from the Office of the National Security Adviser when Colonel Sambo Dasuki (retired).

This came as the governor said he remained unmoved by the alleged media trial adopted by the EFCC against him, according to reports on Saturday.

Fayose said that the anti-graft agency and its collaborators in the All Progressives Congress (APC) should not be in a hurry in their ill-motive, rather they should wait till 2018 after his tenure when he will "confront their lies".

He said the EFCC was at liberty to continue using the APC media organs to feed the public with concocted stories all in an attempt to tarnish his image.
