EFCC to stage march on Anti-Corruption Day

Abuja - The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will on Wednesday an anti- corruption march to commemorate International Anti- Corruption Day.

Staff of the country’s leading anti-corruption agency will stage the procession from its office in Wuse 2, to the Shehu Yar ‘Adua Centre, Abuja, venue of the local Anti-corruption Day celebration.

Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, said the new Chairman of the agency, Ibrahim Magu, will lead the procession, which is expected to commence by 8h00 local time.

He said the theme of the 2015 International Anti-Corruption Day, Break the Corruption Chain, was intended to call global attention to the effects of corruption on all sectors of our national life.

International Anti-Corruption Day has been observed annually on 9 December, since the passage of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption in October 2003.
