Abuja - An 8-year-old pupil at Prospect Primary School in Akute has been arrested by police officials after he reported his teacher to his mother, Naij has reported.
The boy, Oyindamola Onimole, was allegedly held by police at the Ajuwon police station between Wednesday and Thursday after reporting a tacher at his school to his mother.
The teacher, identified only as Mrs. Oni, is alleged to be the wife of a policeman at the Ajuwon division and is accused of maltreating the boy.

The mother of the child, Nimota Onimole, is reported to have stormed to the school and complained about Mrs. Oni, following which the teacher harassed the child for reporting her.
“After school hours, the teacher called her husband and he stormed the house of the pupil and arrested the minor.
“When Mrs. Onimole (Nimota) returned from work about 10pm, neighbours told her about the ordeal of her son. She left for the police station to ascertain what had happened. The mother, who went to the police station to bail her child, was also detained,” a source within the school revealed.
The father of the boy has expressed outrage at the incident, saying that he would be contacting legal representatives to appropriately deal with the matter.
