Ex-Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah stole N3,6 billion - EFCC

29 April 2016, 18:28

Abuja - The Economic Financial Crimes Court has discovered that former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, stole N3,6 billion and shared it among eight different companies, Sahara reported.

According to reports, Oduah had secured several multi-billion contracts to upgrade Nigeria's 22 airports, however much of the money went into her own pocket.

According to Sahara, 192 contracts awarded to her, only six were completed.

Oduah came under scrutiny after forcing the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to buy her two BMW's at N255 million.

As she had violated the country's procurement regulations, she was indicted by the House of Representatives.

Oduah had also previously stopped the EFCC from investigating her scandals but the commission was later allowed by the Federal High Court in Lagos to fully investigate her.
