Abuja – The Nigerian police force has reportedly deployed two helicopters to Ogun State to assist in the rescue of abducted former minister of education, Iyabo Anisulowo.
According to Premium Times, the helicopters arrived in the Ogun State on Saturday and were already being used to patrol suspected hideouts of the kidnappers.
The minister was kidnapped on Wednesday last week by armed men while she was returning home from her farm.
Reports on Saturday indicated that her kidnappers were demanding N200 million as ransom for her release.
They allegedly contacted the family using Anisulowo mobile phone on Friday, demanding the payment.
