Abuja - Fourty-four year old Lekan Shonde, a Lagos resident who is believed to have murdered his wife, seems to have been abandoned by friends and family, Sun News Online has reported.
While in custody at the Panti headquarters of the State Criminal Investigation Department in Lagos State, Shonde is said to have not received a singular visit from any of those close to him.

Shonde is alleged to have gotten involved in an altercation with his wife, Ronke Bewaji Shonde, before fleeing the scene where her lifeless body was discovered lying on the floor the following morning.
In the wake of the gruesome discovery, Shonde is said to have gone into hiding before resurfacing to surrender himself to police officials.
The alleged killer has claimed that he committed the heinous act due to provocation from his wife, who he claimed was having an extramarital affair.
Tributes for the late Ronke have continued pouring in, with many wondering why she had not shared her experiences of domestic violence with those closest to her.
