Abuja - The family of former presidential aide, Dr Waripamowei Dudafa has raised alarm over his health in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Leadership reports.
The family alleged that the anti-graft agency had denied Dudafa access to proper medical attention six days after a national daily published that the former presidential aide had been released.
The spokesman for the family, Thomas Akpoebi said that family members and the personal physician of the detained Bayelsa born politician have no access to him.
In a statement issued on Monday, Akpoebi said Dudafa's health began to deteriorate about two weeks ago just as he debunked a national daily’s report that EFCC had released Dudafa.
The family added that in the last 12 days, Dudafa had suffered series of health issues that require medical attention, saying he had been managing a spinal cord challenge, which had relapsed significantly in the last three days, Thisday reports.
