30 June 2016, 14:12

Abuja - Governor of the Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has dared the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha Buhari to take legal action against him and is standing by his claims made against her, Naij reports.

Aisha Buhari gave Fayose an ultimatum to drop his accusations against her within five days or face legal action.

Fayose accused the First Lady of being linked to American Congressman, William Jefferson's bribery scandal that resulted in the US legislator being convicted in 2009.

News24 Nigeria reported that a passport photograph of the woman impersonating Aisha Buhari in the Jeffferson bribery scandal had been revealed.

The First Lady is set to visit the US today where she is to attend the World First Lady Conference, in a move that would see her silence the accusations permanently.
