Abuja - Outspoken Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has once again lashed out at President Muhammadu Buhari, this time accusing First Lady, Aisha Buhari of being involved in a bribery scandal, Naij reports.
According to Fayose, Aisha Buhari had links to a bribery scandal involving US Congressman Williams Jefferson, with the Governor even going as far as distributing a link to the website of the US Department of Justice.
The link allegedly transfers to court documents detailing how Buhari was allegedly connected to the movement of suspicious funds to an account owned by Jefferson.

In a statement signed by Chief Press Secretary Idowu Adelusi, Fayose claimed that Buhari was far from a "clean" man, Premium Times reports.
"His wife was indicted over the Halliburton Scandal (sic). When that American, Jefferson, was being sentenced, the President’s wife was mentioned as having wired $170,000 to Jefferson. Her name was on page 25 of the sentencing of Jefferson. We can serialize the judgment for people to see and read," Fayose stated.
Aisha could not be reached for commentary on the matter, while the Presidency has since rejected the documents and claimed that it will have to investigate further in order to ascertain legitimacy.
