Fayose overbearing, lacks respect for PDP

19 May 2016, 20:49

Abuja - Governor Ayodele Fayose has been accused of lacking respect for the Peoples Democratic Party as well as having an overbearing influence within the Party, Punch reports.

These accusations were made by the Pioneer Chairman of the PDP in Ekiti State, Clement Awoyelu.

Awoyelu claims that Fayose was leading the party to destruction and that the best way forward was to reclaim the party from him.

The former Senate Deputy Chief Whip said that Fayose was going against the Party's constitution in making decisions such as appointing councillorship candidates unilaterally and appropriating the party unto himself in many other instances.

He lastly thanked the judicial system of Nigeria for upholding its decision to remove Fayose, proclaiming that they have now rid the PDP of his influence.
