Bayelsa - A cultist known as Fela has been arrested over his alleged involvement in the killing of a National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member, James Onuh, Daily Post reports.
Fela was arrested by the Bayelsa State Police Command after a tip-off over the incident which occurred in June, in Obele, a suburb of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.
The suspected killer was also accused of involvement in a separate homicide in another part of the State capital.
One source claimed Fela was lured out of hiding out by men of the Anti-Vice unit of the Police, while others claimed he was arrested after investigation into a new cult killing indicted him, and he confessed to the killing of the Corps member in June according to Saharareporters.
Spokesman of the state Police Command, Asinim Butswat confirmed the arrest, adding that investigation was ongoing.
Late Onuh, a Civil Engineering graduate of University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State, serving with Bayelsa State Ministry of Works, was killed during clash of rival cult gangs during his visit to the oil rich state.
