The Minister of State for Education, Anthony Onwukah, while speaking during the Nigerian Academy of Education conference, said that any teacher who failed to adhere to the two year guideline of updating their skills would get the sack.
The minister added that teaching would now be treated as a profession, instead of as a last resort for people who failed to secure lucrative jobs.
He added that this new regulation would prevent any unqualified teachers from educating Nigerian scholars.
