Find Aremu's killers and get N5m says Oyo governor

Ibadan - Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi has placed a N5 million bounty on the assassins responsible for the murder of a member of the state house of assembly, Gideon Aremu.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Communication and Strategy, Yomi Layinka, on Thursday in Ibadan announced the reward for anyone with credible information that might lead to the arrest of the criminals.

Ajimobi urged the public with information on the matter to use the following telephone numbers: 0802 343 1079, 0803 653 6581, with assurances that such tips would be treated in confidence.

Aremu, who represented  Oorelope,was the chairman, House of Assembly Committee on Information, Public Relations and Security.

He was killed by gunmen, who followed him to his residence in the Egbeda local government area of the state before shooting him dead according to News24

Aremu was the only opposition lawmaker in the constituency, the report said, adding that the rest were for the ruling All Progressives Party (APC).
