Benin – Fire has gutted a popular mall in Benin City.
The fire that started about 12 midnight destroyed goods and
properties worth billions of naira were lost in the inferno.
Edo Government says that full investigation would be
conducted into the cause of the fire that gutted Super Mart, the only ultra
modern shopping mall in Benin.
Gov Godwin Obaseki said this on Sunday when he inspected the

“Because I understand that trucks were distributed by the
NDDC and the State Government during the last administration.”
The governor said that to avert future fire disaster in
Super Mart and even vehicles, all vehicles and super Mart would henceforth be
made to have fire extinguishers.
