Five deputy governors blast popular prophet over 'prophecy'

16 November 2016, 16:38

Lagos - Five deputy governors have faulted a prophecy by Primate Elijah Ayodele that they will betray their principals before the end of their tenures, Naij reports.

The spiritual head of the INRI Evangelistic Spiritual Church, revealed that the governors of Abia, Ebonyi, Kano, Sokoto and Taraba states will have issues with their deputies before the end of their terms in office.

Ayodele explained that the governors and their deputies would have series of disagreements based on their political ambitions and they might end up betraying the trust and confidence reposed in them by the state governors.

But the deputy governors of the aforementioned states have described the prophecy as an attempt to create rancour and disaffection in the polity.

The deputy governor of Ebonyi state, Kelechi Igwe, in a statement issued on behalf of himself and the other deputy governors, said the prophecy was nothing but a figment of the imagination of the man who released it.

Igwe said the primate could not have heard from God because he has been in the business of releasing false prophecies at every turn in the politics of Nigeria and the world.
